poem for an infant- a fantasy , a new love

I AM A MOTHER NOW

Today, I feel complete

Because I know it’s the best moment of my life.

From now onwards I have to be more carefull, less clumbsy, more responsible

As today, I can feel you I my womb.

Today I will tell him that he will be a father, and I know it’s probably

The best gift we can give to our married life.

All I want to do is just smile,

All I want to do is fall in ecstasy,

All I want to do is protect as you are a dormant seed inside me.

I know it’s going to be painfull, its going to be tough, but now what is more prior

Now is your well being, your smile

Every moment I just want to think of you,

You’re moving, changing your position.

You have now evolved yourself

From a zygote to an embryo

It’s now one month since you have evolved and I know

 Your heartbeat is coordinating with mine

And I feel especial.

Its two months now, and all I think of is your little, cute

, tiny limbs when your tiny palm will hold my finger,

I know I will feel happy.

It will be a feeling that will touch me deeply

My mind is sort of designing, your hands, and your face

And all I say-nose would be like me, forehead like him, smile like me,

Now am taking my extra care, as you are in there.

But somewhere down the line I am afraid

What if something goes wrong?

But your father is extra careful about

You, he takes the best care.

I am waiting for the moment when you’ll

Come out, I’ll tell you everything

My mind is pondering over your accessories, clothes, toys.

I have bought everything to complete your joys.

Its 8 months now, It’s now more painful,

More beautiful. But I feel scared,

Not because I’ll be in pain but because

I don’t want to see you in pain

Its 25^th October 2012 and doctor finally said –

“It’s a boy” I can faintly hear cry,

Now you are in my hands, in my lap,

And I’ m cherishing this moment by thanking god

I am crying because I am overwhelmed by your presence,

Your father is dancing with joy

Thank you my child for making me a proud mother

Today, I have become a mother but, my hands are trembling,

For I fear that I need to be extra careful regarding you

All during gestation period, I and

Your father have thought for your name

and finally I have one and

That’s Ekin-

a name so pure,

as simple as you have survived through bad

Times easily, you have that endurance my little child.

As I feed you my colostrum,

I feel am creating something

As you can feel strength, I grow stronger.

Every day I see you do something new,

Today your father is teaching you how to walk

It’s not just a walk, but 1^st step towards your learning

And am at peak when I see you smile while doing this new thing

Every night when I sing a lullaby to take you in dreamland

You don’t sleep, you cry.

Probably you want to see your mothers face

 Rather than going in that dreamland of thy.

Days passed by and each moment I see you,

I feel that am a creator, a gardener who has

Planted a small tree as thou

And everyday your actions metaphorise a new leaf,

A new beginning.

Its one year now, we have a grand party

For your b’day and everyone is blessing you.

You’re smiling and laughing.

I thank god for having me thee.

I love it when you come running to door

When I come back from work,

 I love it when you spread your toys in hazardous way,

I love it when you try to bite me

Because that’s the way you show me your love.

Every midnight when you trouble me,

I like that,

Because next morning I love to see that

Bliss in your eyes.

That’s how I have experienced you so far,

And all I pray  that you be fine as I never want to loose you apart!
